Renowned as the first toll road in Uganda, Entebbe Expressway is a quick connection from Entebbe airport to Kampala and other parts of the country.
This route was put up main to reduce the traffic congestion along the old Entebbe – Kampala road. The express highway starts from Abayita ababiri and leads to you four major points. These are Kajjansi, Munyonyo, Busega, and connection to the Northern by-pass highway.
Commuters from Entebbe to Kampala or vice versor have been using this toll road freely for all year of 2021. This is no more. Now you can only use it at a cost and the payment process started on 08/ January/ 2022. The Entebbe Expressway fares depend on the type of Car. For those who need weekly or monthly payments, you can register and get a card.
From the city center, you can join the expressway from Kajjansi, Busega, or Munyonyo. There are various options. From Kampala, you can drive via Kampala – Entebbe road up to Kajjansi or go up to Makindye and join Salama road up to Munyonyo roundabout. From here, you join the express highway.
For those getting from Masaka, Busega is the main connecting point for you. From Jinja, you can branch-off from Seeta and use Namugongo road to join the northern bypass. If not that you can come up to Namboole and join the bypass which connects you to the Kampala – Entebbe expressway.
