Rwandair Suspends Flights To Entebbe Airport
Due to the surging Covid-19 cases in Uganda, Rwandair has decided to suspend all flights to Entebbe International Airport.
Here is the airline’s announcement ‘‘Due to a surge in Covid-19 cases in Uganda, RwandAir announces the suspension of its flights to Entebbe effective June 10, 2021, until further notice,’’.
This second wave is treating Uganda badly. In the last two weeks, the country experienced a high rate of infections with a high record of 1438 new infections. It has reached a cumulative tally of 56,949 cases since the outbreak.
RwandAir advised all customers affected by this decision to ‘‘re-book at no additional costs upon flights’ resumption or seek a refund if your travel dates reach when the flights are still on halt.’’
This week only the nation confirmed many death cases. Health experts are calling on the public to ensure the Standard operating procedures.
Right now, its capital Kampala is the epicenter for Coronavirus. The widespread is more in the taxi parks and bus terminals.
These places are crowded by stranded students who seek travel back to their home destinations and other people who are leaving the city to get refugee in their villages.
Most people are scared of a total lock down, that’s why there are rushing to the villages before transport means are locked down.
