Traveling From Uganda To Rwanda in This Pandemic
Traveling From Uganda To Rwanda
Uganda and Rwanda are both located in the Eastern part of Africa. These countries share borders and tourists like to combine the two nations while on a tour in this region.
Before the pandemic, some disagreements between president Kagame and Museveni forced Rwanda to close its borders to Ugandan nationals.
Free entry remained only for cargo trucks and tourist vehicles. After the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus, Kagame decided to completely ban entry for all vehicles and people from Uganda.
Right now travelers who want to visit Rwanda from Uganda can only get there by air travel means. The soaring cases for Covid-19 have again forced Rwanda and UAE to bar entry for all visitors from the pearl of Africa.
Moreover, Rwandair and the Fly Emirates took a decision and suspended all their flights to Entebbe airport. The directive started on 10/06/2021 and these airline companies apologized to the customers and advised those affected to engage the responsible authorities.
Although Rwandair and Fly emirates canceled flights to EBB this can’t avoid travel to these two nations because other airline companies are still operating.
There is an exception if you can’t ignore travel to the land of a thousand hills. For those who want to land at Kigali airport from Uganda, you must undergo a seven-day quarantine before you are allowed into the public.
Another option is here. If you are coming from Uganda, first spend seven days in another country like Kenya or Tanzania before you travel to Rwanda.
