Time Taken to Clear at the Entebbe Airport Immigration

All travelers who get to Uganda by plane have to pass through the Entebbe Airport Immigration customs. It’s at this desk where you present all the needed travel documents. Once you meet all the requirements then you are issued the entry permission. After clearance you proceed to the next area where you sit to wait for your baggage.

The clearance area usually has a long queue especially when there’s more than one plane that land at the same time. The time you spend at this place depends on how busy it is. Expect to be at the customs for not less than 40 minutes and wait luggage for not less than 10 minutes. You can spend more than an hour or more for the case when your baggage is lost. You have to fill the claiming forms. Then your luggage is delivered later to the exact location where you are.

During lunch time, there’s about four planes landing (Emirates, Qatar, and Uganda Airlines). This is the start of the EBB Airport busy hours. So you need an hour or more to sort out everything at the customs. You just have to be patient. After approval, you continue to the arrivals terminal and exit to meet your colleague or driver who is waiting for you.
