Entebbe Launches Direct Bus from EBB Airport to Kampala
With the need to ease transport at the EBB Airport, Entebbe municipality has decided to launch a direct bus service. It is meant to transport passengers from Entebbe Airport to Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. It will as well get people from Kampala to the Airport. There are soon establishing stages for these buses in the various corners of the city. The main intention is to relieve people going to the Airport from walking because these other means stop them along the way and they have to walk some distance from the check point up to the Airport parking area.
Advantages
It’s Cheap. The only merit with this bus service is that itβs less expensive. It will transport passengers at a fee that ranges between 15,000 β 20,000 UGX. It will be using the expressway toll to avoid the traffic congestion on the old Kampala β Entebbe road. Moreover, the bus impresses commuters with pretty interior facilities including the working air conditioning.
Disadvantages
Time wastage. If you are on time, this is not for you as it has to wait for passengers until it gets full. It carries about 28 passengers. So, if you are the first person to board, this means you will have to wait for more 27 people.
Shared transport. This is not private. You travel as a group with everyone seated on a seat that is next to the other. It includes both local and foreign travelers who wish and free to use this service with the need to save their pocket.
No drop off at home. You all people be going to various locations, but the bus will take and drop you off at a certain point in Kampala city. So, from here you get other means to your home area or hotel. If you have too much luggage, the hustle begins from here. You can even end up losing some of your bags. Moreover, the bus has limited space for luggage. So, for those with many bags, I recommend a taxicab for you. With this option, you are dropped right at your home or hotel without any hustle.
