Hoima Airport – Its Location & Getting from There

After its construction, Hoima airport is Uganda’s second international Airport. It was put in place to ease the movement of oil and all materials to be used in the purification of the oil products discovered in this great region.

It isn’t only for Cargo, this airport also receives passenger flights from different parts of the World. It is more convenient for those who are visiting the western Uganda.

By location, it sits in Kabaale Parish, Buseruka sub-county, Hoima District in the Western part of Uganda, near the Kaiso-Tonya oil fields and the Uganda Oil Refinery.

Once you get at the Airport, you can use Uganda Airport Taxi to reach your next location in Hoima town or other nearby places like Masindi, Fort Portal and more.

You can as well land at Hoima Airport and transfer to Kampala city. The journey from Hoima to Kampala takes about 3-4 hours depending on speed used and road traffic.
