Follow Masaka-Mbarara bypass road to pass through Nyendo, Kyabakuza, Kagganda, Kinoni, Mbirizi, Kyazanga, Bulimbale, Lyantonde, Rweibumba, Nombi, and Kyibega to Mbarara town.

From here, join Mityana road and drive through towns like Bulenga, Buloba, Bujuko, Nvuba, Zigoti, Ndibulungi, Mityana, Naama, Myanzi, Kyakatebe, Kawungera, Kitenga, Mubende, Lwemivubo, Nabingora, Kyegegwa, Omurwera, Kakabara, Lwebali, Matiri, Kyenjojo, Rugombe, and then Fort portal.
From fort town, you can continue to other areas like Kasese, Mpondwe border, Bwera, Kichwamba, Bundibugyo to mention but a few.
Kampala – Jinja Route
For travelers who fancy a ride to the Eastern and northeastern side of Uganda, this is the best path.
It starts from Kampala, continues via Jinja road, and passes through multiple centers like Nakawa, Banda, Bweyogerere, Kireka, Seeta, Mukono, Namataba, Mbarara, Lugazi, Najjembe, Nakibizi, Mbiko, Njeru, cross the bridge to Jinja.
From this town, you can one of the multiple roads including Iganga – Mbale/Tororo/Mayuge/Palisa/Kumi/Soroti/Busia, Buwenge – Kamuli, Lira, Moroto, and other prominent centers in this region.
Kampala – Nansana – Hoima
This connects you to the famed city of the oils. Start from the CBD and drive up to Bwaise roundabout. Join the Kampala – Northern bypass and drive up to Namungona road intersecting point.
From here, follow Hoima road and ride through different town centers like Nansana, Wakiso, Kakiri, Gobero, Namayumba, Busunju, Mate, Kikandwa, Bombo, Bukomero, Kawanda, Busabulongo, Lwamata, Kiboga, Masode, Kikolimbo, Wattuba, Kyenda, Lwamagaali, Bukwiri, Katanabwira, Kalagi, Kikonda, Kalongo, Katereiga, Butema, and then Hoima.
From this city, road trippers use Kyenjojo – Hoima road and connect to Fort portal. The ride takes about 3-4 hours, you drive through Munteme, Kabwoya, Mabale, Kagadi, Katoke, Kikorba, and Kyenjojo where you join the main path to the cleanest city. You can also base from Hoima and connect to Masindi and other areas in northern Uganda.
Kampala – Masindi – Gulu
You can use Kampala – Jinja to reach Uganda’s Northern Province, but if you want to reduce the distances covered be sure to use this path. From the city, drive up to Bwaise road meeting point.
Follow the Bombo road and transit various towns like Kawempe, Kagoma, Maganjo, Kalule, Bombo, Kasana, Luwero, Kakoge, Nakasongola, Migera, and then Kafu River stopover.
From this locality, you can choose to branch off to Masindi or continue with the main route to Gulu.
After Gulu, you can get to other iconic points in the region such as Kitgum, Aura, Koboko, Kidepo Valley National Park, Arua, Abim, Kotido, and more.
