Transport fares at Entebbe Airport expected to increase

It is expected that transport fares at Entebbe Airport will increase at the end of 2024 and the coming years. This comes after the newly introduced car parking fees that double up the old fares for each first hour spent in the parking lot. It majorly depends on the type of the vehicle. These increased parking fees will be effective starting from 1st November 2024.

Airport users fear that service providers like cab drivers will use this advantage to hike up the rates. This is not a surprise because the amount charged by taxicabs caters for fuel, driver commission, Airport parking and the car maintenance fee. The expected increment is 3 dollars on each trip cost in case it is applied.

If you don’t have a private car to pick you up, the only available option is a taxi. It is cheap, quick and delivers you direct to your home or hotel. Moreover, the service is private and not shared by other unknown passengers.

From the Airport, you can get to Entebbe town and surrounding areas, Kampala, Jinja, Mbarara, Gulu, Masaka and a lot more towns and cities in Uganda. You need to make arrangements and confirm in time.
