Uganda Reduces Covid-19 Arrival Test cost to $30
With the need to reduce the importation of dangerous covid-19 variants countries including Uganda decided to put some nations with high infections on their red list.
Travelers from these countries are not limited to entry permission but are required to come with negative Covid-19 PCR tests and also do another arrival test at your own cost.
The main reason for this decision is to enable the tourism industry and air transport to recover from the lock-down setbacks.
The list of nations on Uganda’s red list includes the United States of America, UAE, Turkey, India, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, South Sudan, Ethiopia, and the United Kingdom.
All visitors from the countries named above transfer in a bus direct to the gardens of Penial beach hotel once they get to Entebbe airport.
Transport is provided by the ministry of health. The penial beach hotel has various points which offer the service to customers.
Once you are done with the process expect to wait around for your results in a period of 3-4 hours. The cost for this service started at 65 USD per person.
After some discussions between the ministry of health officials and the office of the prime minister, the price is now reduced to 30 USD per person.
