Driving from Kampala or EBB Airport To Kidepo National Park
Kidepo Valley National Park is the most isolated park in Uganda. It is located in the northeastern part of Uganda. A drive from Entebbe airport or Kampala to Kidepo Valley National park is a must especially if you visit Uganda to soak up its diverse wildlife. There are two options for you to use.
Option one
You start from Entebbe or Kampala and join the Kampala – Masindi – Gulu highway. A drive to Kidepo can’t be done in one day except when you start very early in the morning although it is not recommended.
On the first day, you can drive up to Gulu for a night stay at one of the hotels in the city. The next day, you start early in the morning and continue up to Kidepo. This is the shortest route.
Option two
If your trip plan combines Jinja with Kidepo, this is the best option for you. From the city, you use one of these routes and drive up to Jinja for a stopover or night stay.
On the next day, you will have a long drive up to Kidepo. You start very early in the morning and reach in the evening including a stopover for lunch. The drive takes about 9 hours.
