Driving from Entebbe Airport or Kampala To Murchison Falls
Located in the northwestern region, Murchison Falls is the largest waterfall in Uganda. It is one of the reasons for most trips to Uganda. Driving from Entebbe Airport or Kampala to Murchison falls is worth it. There is a lot to enjoy including a jaw-dropping hike to the top of these falls.
If you want to get there by car, here are the right directions for a successful self-drive road trip. The main route which leads you there is Kampala – Masindi – Gulu highway. It includes two options (starting from Entebbe airport or Kampala).
EBB airport
From Entebbe airport, you need to connect to the main route. You may choose to use the Expressway at a toll fee of 5000 Uganda shillings. When you join this road at abayita ababbiri, you drive straight up to the Bwaise roundabout.
From here, you join the main road to Murchison falls national park. If you like the Rhinoceros, don’t forget to stopover by Nakasongora and visit Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to see them. After, continue with the journey to your next destination.
Kampala
From the city or its suburbs, you need to enjoy the ride using various route options and find the main path to Murchison. If you are starting from the city center, you use Kampala road and drive through wandegeya up to Kubbiri roundabout.
From this turning point, there is a path that leads you to Bwaise. Even if you are coming from places like Ntinda, Kamwokya, Namugongo, Naalya, Kiwatule, and more, it is possible to reach the same point by use of the northern bypass.
