Travel Documents Required At Entebbe Airport, Uganda
Renowned as the pearl of Africa, Uganda is one of the most traveled to destinations in the eastern region of Africa. It welcomes thousands of travelers daily at Entebbe Airport, the only entry point to this remarkable travel spot.
Like any other destination, Uganda requires some travel documents for any person who seeks entry permission from other countries around the globe. Be sure to come with these particulars listed below.
Passport
Your passport must be valid, indicating your name, country of origin, a photo and other details. In Uganda, a passport is considered legit when it is still six months to its expiration from the date of entry.
Uganda Visa
This card issues you permission to enter into the country. Apply for this document online before the travel date or visit a consulate in your home country. It is hard to get it when you land at the Entebbe International Airport.
Uganda no longer issue the Visa on arrival. This change came after the Covid-19 pandemic. If you need to know more, don’t hesitate to read this guide.
Yellow fever & Covid-19 PCR test / Vaccination card
Adding to the yellow fever vaccination card, all incoming travelers must have a negative PCR Covid-19 test done with 72 hours of arrival from a recognized laboratory.
For those who have got their full Covid-19 immunization, you are free to come with your issued certificate.
Traveler Health Declaration Code
Effective 27th October 2022, all travellers who go to Uganda through the Entebbe Airport and other border points have to fill the online traveler health declaration form and submit it to the ministry of health.
Do it within 24hours of the flight time. After submitting, the responsible officials will approve it, and forward the QR code to your email. You print this code, and present it to the staff at any point you use for entry into Uganda.
